David Hakamaki

David Hakamaki, Cr.Photog., is an international speaker, educator and professional photographer based in Michigan, USA. He has operated a successful full-time, home-based photography studio since 2002, building a six-figure business in a small rural community.

With a background in business, David combines his photography experience with a strong understanding of sales, marketing, client relationships and business development. He has taught business, marketing and economics at several colleges and regularly trains photographers on everything from posing and lighting to running a successful photography business.

David is a regular speaker at PPA conferences and workshops and has presented at photography conventions across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom. His presentations are known for their energetic, quirky and practical approach, with a particular focus on helping photographers improve both their creative work and the business behind it.

A member of WPPI, SWPP, SISEP, PPA and BNI, David is also active in his local community and enjoys travelling with his family in search of new adventures.
