The Society of Photographers – Photographer of the Year 2024 Winners Announced
The Society of Photographers is thrilled to reveal the winners of the prestigious 2024 Photographer of the Year awards, proudly sponsored by Loxley Colour.
Frankie Adamson has been crowned Photographer of the Year, an accolade that celebrates outstanding photographic talent and creativity.
The 2024 Monthly Image Competition attracted an impressive 6,481 submissions across 28 categories, showcasing the remarkable diversity and skill of our talented membership. Gold Award-winning images from each category were shortlisted, with the best of the best selected for this year’s top honors.

Frankie’s Winning Journey
Reflecting on their success, Frankie Adamson shared: “Thank you to Terrie Ann Jones and the whole Societies team, the judges and everyone who was involved in the organisation of this competition and event.
”Kiss of Death” was shot in the Masai Mara back in May 2024. It’s the culmination of 3 days worth of trips out to a hippo carcass that – I’m deadly serious here – I first spotted while leaving the reserve early one morning to go photograph a World Bee Day event at a local college of wildlife.”
