Masai Tribesmen wins photographic award. A Traveller’s Tale Photography Competition – Winners Announced.
The Society of International Travel and Tourism Photographers have announced the winners of the A Traveller’s Tale Photography Competition.
For this competition we asked to see what you have captured whilst on your travels, whether it be the Taj Mahal, The Great Wall of China to the bustling streets of modern city life. Anything that shows the natural and man-made objects that cover this planet.
Ketan Shah from Northamptonshire, England was chosen as the winner.
Ketan has won a copy of Nik Collection 2 by DxO software worth £125 plus one-year Free Membership of any of our Societies.
Ketan explains the 1st place image ‘’I am overwhelmed. Now with that 12-month membership i can go for one of the societies distinctions that i have been thinking about.
The image actually consists of two images. The image lacked strength there i put in Mount Kilimanjaro. The image of Kili was taken around 10yrs ago when we visited Ambosali national park {Kenya}. The Masai were taken last year when we visited the Masai Mara {Kenya} last year.
Today in only 10yrs the snow on Kili has all nearly gone due to climate change. I fear this will have a devastating effect to locals and wildlife in the future as the decline continues.
The Masai image was taken using canon 5d mk4 with a sigma 35mm Art lens attached. Meanwhile Kili was shot on my first digital pocket camera.’’
The 2nd and 3rd place was awarded to Seyed Montazeri from Isfahan, Iran.
