The Society of Photographers is delighted to announce an exclusive new experience day: Zoo Visions with Terry Donnelly, taking place at the world-renowned Chester Zoo on Friday 18th September 2026.
This is a unique opportunity for photographers to spend a full day immersed in wildlife photography, combining hands-on shooting, expert guidance, and access to some of the latest equipment from Sony.
A Premium Wildlife Photography Experience
Set within 128 acres of beautifully designed natural habitats, Chester Zoo offers an exceptional environment for wildlife photography. Home to over 500 species including elephants, lions, rhinos, orangutans, tigers and snow leopards, it provides a diverse range of photographic opportunities throughout the day.
From wide environmental wildlife shots to detailed macro work in the reptile and amphibian houses, this experience is designed to challenge and inspire photographers of all levels.

Learn from Sony Ambassador Terry Donnelly
The day will be hosted by Sony Ambassador Terry Donnelly, an award-winning wildlife photographer known for his passion for animal storytelling and conservation work.
Terry will be on hand throughout the day, offering practical guidance on wildlife photography techniques, composition, and camera settings, helping you get the very best from your images.
Sony will also be attending with a selection of the latest Alpha equipment available to try during the event, including theSony Alpha 7R VI and 100–400mm G Master lens. Sony specialists will be available to support and advise throughout the day.
