Capture the Wild with Sony and The Society of Photographers

Join us for a premium, immersive wildlife photography experience at the world-renowned Chester Zoo, in partnership with Sony UK, The Society of Photographers, Camera Centre UK and PGYTECH.

This exclusive experience includes a dedicated meeting space within the zoo, refreshments throughout the day, and a fully catered lunch.

Chester Zoo spans 128 acres of carefully designed, naturalistic habitats, home to over 500 species including elephants, lions, rhinos, orangutans, tigers and snow leopards. The reptile and amphibian houses also provide excellent opportunities for close-up and macro photography.

A significant portion of Chester Zoo’s income supports global conservation projects, meaning your visit directly contributes to protecting endangered species.

Hands-On Wildlife Photography Experience

Hosted by Sony Ambassador Terry Donnelly, this full-day experience combines field photography, technical guidance, and expert insight.

Sony will be providing the latest Alpha equipment available to try on the day, including the Sony Alpha 7R VI and 100–400mm G Master lens. Terry and Sony specialists will be on hand throughout to offer advice on settings, composition, and wildlife shooting techniques.

We will also be joined by a Chester Zoo ranger, who will provide behind-the-scenes insight into animal behaviour and the best times and locations for photography.

Whether you’re looking to develop your wildlife photography skills or simply enjoy a memorable day behind the lens. A unique opportunity for any wildlife photography enthusiast.

About Terry Donnelly

Terry Donnelly is a multi-award-winning UK wildlife photographer with a passion for conservation and animal storytelling. Since 2014, he has earned two Masters and five Fellowships in photography, including a Fellowship project focused on Red Squirrels.

He has been named Wildlife Photographer of the Year by The Society of Photographers and his work has been featured in national press, BBC Earth and ITV broadcasts. His conservation advocacy has also been recognised by HRH King Charles.
