The Society of Photographers’ Roadshows: A Celebration of Creativity in 2024
What a year it’s been for The Society of Photographers’ Roadshows! The final leg of the 2024 tour wrapped up in style, and we’re still buzzing from all the excitement.
Starting in Cambridgeshire, then heading up north to Derby and Wetherby, it was a jam-packed journey filled with learning, laughter, and inspiration.
Each stop on the tour featured a unique lineup of talented speakers, ensuring that no two events were the same. Photographers like Emma Finch, Hannah Couzens, Emily Renier, Chris Upton, and Alan Hewitt brought their own distinctive expertise, delivering engaging talks and demonstrations tailored to their specialties. Whether it was capturing stunning portraits, navigating tricky lighting situations, or snapping breathtaking wildlife shots, there was something new and exciting for everyone to take away.
But it wasn’t just the talks that made the Roadshows special. The Trade Show was a hive of activity, with companies showcasing the latest and greatest in photography gear. From shiny new lenses and camera bodies to innovative lighting setups, there was no shortage of tech for photographers to geek out over. It’s safe to say that more than a few wish lists were updated after exploring the stands!
Colin Jones, CEO of The Society of Photographers, summed it up best: “2024 has been an incredible year for the Roadshows. We’ve connected with so many photographers across the country, shared some amazing moments, and introduced members to fantastic new gear and ideas. The energy at each event was just incredible.”
And let’s not forget the chance to meet up with fellow photographers! The Roadshows gave everyone a perfect space to catch up, swap stories, and maybe even collaborate on future projects. It’s always great to see familiar faces and meet new ones in the photography community.
