Norman Harrington 1938-2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our Chairman and Founder, Norman Harrington. He slipped away peacefully in his sleep in the early hours of July 13th, after a short illness, aged 82.
Norman started the business as ‘Introphoto’ with HOYA Filters in 1970, after working for the Rank Organisation. He was a major character in the industry and built Intro 2020 to become one of the leading photo, video and optical distributors in the UK. Norman had also been a keen and competitive sailor, having raced in dinghies to ocean-going yachts and he will be sadly missed.
There will be no public funeral and the family have asked for any donations to be made in his name to The Rosemary Foundation in Petersfield, Hampshire:
