Datacolor® Releases 64-Bit Upgrade for Spyder5 Software
Datacolor®, a global leader in colour management solutions, is providing all users with an upgrade of their Spyder5 software for monitor calibration. Datacolor will continue to ensure full compatibility with the latest operating systems for customers using the Spyder5 sensor. This is in compliance of new industry standards with the Apple operating system, which will no longer support 32-bit applications with the Catalina macOS 10.15 version.
The Spyder5 software upgrade is free for all users and can be downloaded from the Datacolor website.
The current monitor calibration solution is the SpyderX, which was introduced in spring and has already been developed as a 64-bit application. The SpyderX is the fastest, most accurate and easy-to-use color calibration sensor for Datacolor monitors.
It is the first colorimeter from Datacolor to combine a newly designed colorimetric sensor with an optical system. In practice, this means it offers the highest photosensitivity, extreme precision and colour accuracy, as well as highlighting more details in the shadow areas. It gives photographers confidence and control over their creative vision.
The SpyderX targets ambitious photographers and designers looking for a fast and easy-to-use monitor calibration solution. Its Elite version also provides setting options for professional photographers and videographers who want full control over their colour workflow.
