Tenba Launches New Cineluxe Models Including Industry-first Pro Gimbal Backpack

  • Cineluxe Pro Gimbal Backpack 24 answers industry demand to enable a complete rig to be carried and ready-to-go within seconds
  • Allows filmmakers to easily transport a full camera system to locations that could formerly have been too treacherous, expensive or uninsurable to consider
  • Cineluxe Roller 24 is Tenba’s largest roller case to date, and the ultimate videographers’ bag, allowing a complete rig and all the accessories they could need to be carried around at once
  • Both new bags are the first of their kind to feature a unique, quick access ‘doctors’ bag’ style opening, meaning they occupy the same space when opened as they do closed

Tenba announces the launch of two new Cineluxe Bags, the Pro Gimbal Backpack 24 and Roller 24 case. Both bags break new ground in design and are a direct response from Tenba to industry demand for solutions that let filmmakers get to work more quickly than ever before.

In an industry first, the Cineluxe Pro Gimbal Backpack 24 allows a fully built and balanced gimbal to be carried safely inside, with the ring strapped to the outside. This enables filmmakers to build the rig in advance and arrive at a job ready to shoot in a matter of seconds.

Every element of the Pro Gimbal Backpack 24 is designed with ultimate mobility, durability and comfort in mind. Tenba Airflow™ technology in the harness uses ventilated 3D airmesh material to keep air flowing in even the hottest, most populated or most arid of locations. Its armoured base, with feet, protects the rig when set down.

The Cineluxe Roller 24 offers capacity previously only found in Tenba Shoulder bags and Backpacks and adds state-of-the-art shock absorber wheels. Filmmakers needing to travel can do so more easily than ever before with proven Tenba technology and design protecting their kit. The Roller 24’s capacity and provision for carrying not only a complete rig, but a multitude of accessories, make it the ultimate videographers’ bag.

The interior dimensions of the Roller 24 enable camera rigs to be stored with baseplate, matte box, monitor, mic and battery attached, ready to shoot. It features a unique interior floor that has been moulded with deeper sections to fit baseplates and help maximise interior depth.

Both new bags are crafted from material and hardware of the highest quality and durability, including water-repellent 1680D ballistic nylon (exterior), ripstop nylon (interior), seatbelt-grade webbing, YKK® zips and heavily reinforced stitching. The attention to detail and zero compromise on design and materials mean precious kit is fully protected, whatever battles may be faced on location or on the journey beforehand. Both offer a wealth of options for transporting additional kit and accessories, including protective pouches and wraps for safe storage alongside main gear, and innovatively designed pockets to maximise space.

Loraine Morgan, Brand Manager, Tenba said, “We have worked with filmmakers to create two new bags that answer a much-maligned issue in the industry. They make it easier than ever to carry complete rigs, plus accessories, to location and for shooting to be underway in a matter of seconds. They have been designed to be the ultimate solution for people whose’ last thought needs to be about how they are going to get their kit from A to B. The attention to detail in the design and production of these bags means they just work, and they make it much easier for filmmakers and crews to do the same. We hope they will make more locations more accessible, by taking the risk out of transporting precious kit, and keeping it shoot-ready at all times.”

The Cineluxe Pro Gimbal Backpack 24 fits Freefly MōVI Pro or DJI Ronin 2 rigs, while the Cineluxe Roller 24 fits professional camcorders, cinema cameras and ENG rigs from Sony, Canon, RED, Blackmagic and others.

Both Cineluxe bags can be pre-ordered from Tenba Authorised Stockists nationwide and will begin shipping end June 2019. They will be priced at £412 / €474 for the Cineluxe Pro Gimbal Backpack 24 and £365 / €420 for the Cineluxe Roller 24.
