Up Close Photographic Competition Winners Announced

Neil Porter

The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers have announced the winners of the Up Close Photographic Competition.

For this competition, photographers were asked to submit images including fantastic landscapes and scenery or animals living in their natural environment.

Neil Porter from Coventry, Warwickshire was chosen as the winner from over 660 images entered into the competition, with the image entitled Fruit Fly’. Neil tells us

“The image was taken with a Canon EOS650d and my Tamron 90mm Macro lens….it was at one of my favourite places ever, Brandon Marsh Nature Reserve in Coventry.”

Neil has won 12 months membership to The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers SINWP. Phil Jones, The Societies CEO says,

“The competition had a very high standard which made judging very difficult. This image has captured the theme in its entirety. The photograph has a very strong narrative as the deceive moment and it has been excellently captured.”

The runners up Priyam Chakraborty from West Bengal, India and Andy Taylor from Essex, England have both been awarded 6 months membership to the SINWP photographic organisation.
