The Societies of Photographers’ Photographer of the Year 2022/2023

Awards Night 2023

2022 has been another incredible year for The Societies of Photographers’ Monthly Image Competition, with 5,881 images entered throughout the year. The 20×16″ Print Competition held during this year’s Convention had a fantastic range of entries and the quality was stunning, 579 entries coming in from all over the globe for this prestigious competition. We would like to thank all the entrants to both the competitions.

Each of the categories from our Monthly Image Competition has nominees which have been chosen from the Gold Award-winning images from 2022.

Throughout the year we use a group of Judges to do Qualifications, Monthly Image Competition judging, End of Year judging and 20×16″ Print Competition judging at The Convention. They give their time and expertise for nothing, and we at the Societies would like to thank the following

Jocelyn Conway, Damian McGillicuddy, Kelly Brown, Belinda Richards, Gary Hill, Richard Bradbury, Joe Lenton, Terry Donnelly, Panikos Hajistilly, Angela Adams, Gurvir Johal, Sarah Edmunds, Scott Johnson, Louise Sumner, Alison Carlino, Lenny Smith, Satnam Dosajh, Gordon McGowan, Peter Ellis, Gary Hughes, Christina Lauder, Sanjay Jogia, Tracy Willis, Mike McNamee, Duncan Cauchi, Ramon Sammut, Kris Anderson, Sean Conboy, Steve Allen and Fiona Mckean.

Also our Junior Judges Andreas Tsiartas, Fiona Elizabeth, Dario Righetto, Martina Warenfedlt and Tracey Lund, and all of our other junior judges who are in our current program.
