During this unique and informative two-day school, we will cover:

The qualities we look for in professional judges
The rules and procedures of panel judging
The 10 Elements
Etiquette and elocution
The importance of positive judging
The specifics of print quality

In addition to the above topics you will get the chance to take part in the ‘mock-judging’ of both physical prints and digital images, so you will leave feeling confident in your new abilities!

This two-day course fills one of the requirements needed to be considered as an approved Society Judge. If you wish to continue your journey to becoming a Judge after this course, please make the organisers aware and you may be considered for further training, this will be organised and given at the trainers discretion and is not automatically allocated to all delegates. You must hold a Fellowship Qualification, or be actively working towards one, to be considered.

To aid you in your judging journey we are also offering the opportunity for you to submit a panel of work for consideration. If you would like to be considered as a judge for The Society of Photographers Convention you must complete your Fellowship Qualification within 3 years.
