Capture City Dogs Like a Pro – Join Jessica McGovern for an Urban Portraiture Photowalk at the 2026 London Photo Convention

Friday 16 January 2026 | 9:00 AM – 1:00 PM | Hammersmith, London
If you’ve ever struggled to photograph dogs outside the comfort of the studio, this is your chance to change that.
International Pet Photographer of the Year Jessica McGovern returns to the London Photo Convention with a brand-new Superclass designed to help you master urban dog portraiture in real-world settings.
Learn to Create Stunning Pet Portraits in the City
The City Dogs – Urban Portraiture Photowalk is a four-hour, hands-on experience that takes you step-by-step through Jessica’s on-location workflow. You’ll discover how to identify great backdrops, control light in unpredictable conditions, and bring out a dog’s unique character in the middle of a bustling city.
This immersive workshop begins with a short theory session before heading out into the streets for live demonstrations and guided shooting. You’ll have the chance to photograph real dogs in real environments — exploring how to adapt, compose, and capture images that pop straight out of the camera.
What You’ll Learn

- Posing and directing canine subjects with confidence
- Making the most of natural light and urban textures
- Creating vibrant, story-driven portraits with minimal gear
