The London Photo Convention 2025: A Celebration of Photography and Innovation

The 2025 London Photo Convention & Trade Show has come to a close, and it’s clear that this year’s event was one to remember. From cutting-edge photography gear to unforgettable workshops and networking opportunities, the Convention exceeded all expectations. Here’s a personal recap of the highlights that made this year’s event so special.
An Exciting Range of Exhibitors

The trade show floor was buzzing with excitement, featuring some of the biggest names in the industry. Major brands like Nikon, Canon, Sony, Fujifilm, and Elinchrom showcased their latest innovations. The buzz was evident as professionals and enthusiasts got hands-on with new equipment, exploring the future of photography technology. The diverse range of exhibitors, from established names to emerging companies, kept the atmosphere dynamic, offering attendees hands-on experiences with the latest tech.
Packed Workshops and Live Stage Sessions

One of the standout features this year was the workshops and Live Stage sessions, where some of the best photographers and industry experts shared their insights. Daily sessions covered everything from shooting techniques to post-production tips, and it was clear that attendees were eager to absorb every bit of knowledge. The workshops were another big draw, giving photographers the chance to refine their skills in real-time.
A True Celebration of Community
At its heart, the Convention was a celebration of community. It wasn’t just about equipment—it was about connecting with fellow photographers. Whether through casual coffee chats or shared learning experiences, it was inspiring to see photographers supporting and inspiring each other. I especially loved welcoming new faces and reconnecting with familiar ones.
The 20×16” Print Competition

The 20×16” Print Competition showcased incredible talent within the photography community, with this year’s entrants pushing the limits to create stunning images. The exhibition was a visual feast, featuring some of the best photography from around the world, and it was inspiring to see delegates eagerly exploring the work up close, drawing inspiration for their own creative journeys. During the judging process, it was amazing to witness the photographers’ engagement, as they took notes from the expert judging team, filling notepads with tips, techniques, and insights that will undoubtedly help push their photography forward. It was a fantastic learning opportunity and a reminder of the incredible talent within our community.
The Awards Presentation Evening

The Awards Presentation Evening was a definite highlight, with an electric atmosphere as we celebrated the achievements of our members. The sense of camaraderie was palpable, and it was a joy to see everyone celebrating each other’s success. The night concluded with a live music performance from Martyn Peters and myself, and it was incredible to see the crowd dancing and enjoying the celebration.
A Look Ahead to 2026
As we wrap up the 2025 event, I can’t help but look ahead to what’s next. While this year’s Convention was a massive success, we’re already thinking about how we can make the 2026 event even better.

I want to extend my gratitude to all the exhibitors, speakers, sponsors, judges, print handlers, event crew, security team, hotel staff, attendees, and my personal thanks to the hardworking team at The Society’s Head Office, who made this year’s event unforgettable.
