Global Travel Photography Competition Winner Announced

The Society of International Travel and Tourism Photographers (SITTP) is delighted to reveal the winners of the Global Travel Photography Competition, a celebration of the finest travel imagery from across the world.
Winning Image: A Unique Aerial Perspective
Tim Wilde from Powys, Wales, has claimed the top prize with his breathtaking aerial shot of overwater villas in the Maldives. Captured during a trip to mark his 30th wedding anniversary in May 2024, the image reveals an astonishing millipede-like architectural pattern when viewed from 115m above.
As the competition’s grand prize winner, Tim receives:
12 months of membership to SITTP
Vanguard VESTA GO 204CB Carbon Travel Tripod with Ball Head (worth £149.99)
Tim shared his inspiration behind the winning image:
“From the land, I noticed an interesting shape in the architecture, but it truly came to life when captured from above. After cropping and editing, the pattern became even more captivating, resembling a millipede.”
Colin Jones, CEO of SITTP, praised the competition’s success:
“The competition attracted incredible talent from around the world. Tim’s photograph stood out for its creativity and strong connection to the theme, making it a worthy winner.”
In addition to Tim’s winning entry, the competition also honoured:
2nd Place: Takács Gábor (Hosszúhetény, Hungary)
3rd Place: Jacki Gordon (Glasgow, Scotland)

The SITTP extends heartfelt congratulations to all winners and participants, whose images capture the beauty, culture, and diversity of travel.
