Winners of the Global SinoPhoto Awards 2021 to be Showcased at The Societies 2022 Convention
Tell your Chinese story – imagine, interpret, inspire
In 1955, a landmark photography exhibition was held at the Museum of Modern Art in New York titled The Family of Man. It was the most influential and well-attended exhibition in the history of the medium. The feeling that we are all part of one family, the family of man, is still so poignant and current today, and it is this thought that led to the creation of The Global SinoPhoto Awards in 2020.
The annual, international photography contest aims to communicate Chinese culture through remarkable imagery and to provide a creative hub to inspire photographers worldwide.
Photographers were invited to submit work on the themes of Home, Work and Play, the Environment and a special category, Water as 2022 is the Year of the Water Tiger and also integral to Chinese culture through the philosophies of Confucianism and Taoism.
A wide breadth of photographic styles was received from photographers of 20 different countries. From Jinli Zhao’s epic landscape of the Yellow River, reminiscent of photographs of the 1930’s American Midwest, to the very personal journey of Cindy Lin that harnesses contemporary techniques of photo-montage.
We hope these remarkable images, which reflect our common values of love, family and the environment, will bring cheer and positivity to all who visit.
The winning images will be exhibited at The Societies’ 2022 Photography Show (Wednesday 16th – Saturday 19th March 2022) at the Novotel London West, Hammersmith. All images are kindly printed by Digitalab.
Don’t forget free registration ends 28 February 2022. So make sure you register before then to secure your free Trade Show tickets.
