Tenba launches updated Tools range

Tenba has announced several new products in its Tools system, completely refreshing the range in response to customer feedback. The new collection features a smaller, but more versatile, selection of products, while also boasting a new, improved look and feel.

The Tools system was created by Tenba to increase the effectiveness and efficiency of larger bags, in the belief that the way photographers and creators store and organise their accessories is equally as crucial to the smooth running of a shoot as having main gear readily to hand. Compatible with dedicated photography bags as well as non-photo bags, the Tools system has always given users the freedom to create a truly personalised, versatile kit bag. Now it does so with a more streamlined, accessible line up with a fresh new look that brings it up to date with Tenba’s current range. Products on offer have also been overhauled to be the perfect fit for the latest photo and video products on the market.

A total aesthetic overhaul sees the introduction of a new herringbone fabric, in both blue and black colourways that offers not only durability but a superior look and feel to this new range. The brand new product line up is as follows:

NEW – Tools Cable Pouch 4

This completely new pouch is more than just a cable pouch; it’s a full-on organiser. The single sided Cable Pouch 4 is deep enough to hold chargers, light meters, radio triggers, power adapters and lavalier microphones, and includes an interior panel to organise cables, batteries and smaller items.  With a TPU window with mesh reinforcement and reliable YKK zip it ensures that the contents are visible at a glance, and easily accessible too. New, durable elastic loops ensure cables can be secured untangled without the need for individual cord wraps, and since they’re built in, they won’t get lost. The 8.5-inch (21 cm) length will fit most popular wireless lavalier microphones without bending the antenna.

Tools Reload SD 9 & Reload SD6 + CF6 Card Wallets

The Reload SD 9 memory card wallet can carry up to nine SD cards (or Micro SD with an adapter), while the Reload SD6+CF6 memory card wallet can hold up to six SD cards (or Micro SD with an adapter) and six CF cards. Both wallets have a rear hook and loop flap that attaches to a belt, shoulder strap, backpack harness or other MOLLE-compatible loops to keep memory cards close at hand. The wallet also features the unique angled pockets that simplify removing cards quickly. The addition of a security cable enables wallets to be connected to a D-ring on a bag or tripod for safety, with the addition of a clear pocket on the back to store business cards.

Tools Reload Universal Card Wallet

Also receiving a similar update is the Reload Universal memory card wallet that holds up to eight CF cards, 12 SD cards or any photographer or content creators desired number of Micro SD cards. This wallet offers two pockets with yellow and red zippers inside, allowing multiple memory card styles to be sorted by ‘empty’ and ‘full’ status. The wallet also includes a velcro loop to attach to a belt, shoulder strap, backpack harness or other MOLLE-compatible loops to keep memory cards close at hand. The added security cable can be connected to a D-ring on a bag or tripod for safety, with a clear pocket on the back providing storage for business cards.

Tools Reload Battery 2

The slimline new Reload Battery 2 pouch is designed to keep camera batteries secure and organised, holdingtwo mirrorless or DSLR camera batteries. Its rear hook and loop flap can attach to a belt, shoulder strap, backpack harness or other MOLLE-compatible loops so you can keep batteries close at hand. The neoprene pocket stretches to accommodate popular battery sizes. Whilst the D-rings on the back can be attached to an optional security cable or lanyard to secure inside a jacket to keep batteries warm in cold weather.

Tools Cable Duo 4 and 8

Updated is the Cable Duo pouch 4 and 8. The unique 2-side pouch remains deep enough on one side to fit chargers, light meters, radio triggers microphones and other larger accessories, and the shallow side keeps cables neatly organised and wrapped with its built-in elastic loops. The 8.5-inch (21 cm) length will fit most popular wireless lavalier microphones without needing to bend the antenna. The deep side of the case has a short top zip for quick access, and the cable side has a zip-around flap for easier organisation. The pvc-free mesh-reinforced window fabric is now even more durable, with a slightly more translucent finish. 

Tools Tool Box 4, 6 and 8

The Tool Box is one of the most versatile storage solutions Tenba has ever made; turning any bag in to a fully protective, versatile kit bag. Remaining the perfect combination of protection and organisation for smaller gear such as GoPro®/Action camera systems, compact mirrorless cameras and lenses, camera strobes, microphones and professional audio gear, batteries, cables and accessories. The walls and dividers are made with a layered combination of protective EVA foam and rigid PE board to keep contents safe inside any bag. This rigid exterior, with padded interior of adjustable dividers for repositioning to any configuration, keeps contents from shifting around or suffering damage while on the move.  Gear is always visible at a quick glance through the reinforced TPU window with the elastic loops keeping a tight grip on batteries, cables and other accessories. The pvc-free mesh-reinforced window fabric is now even more durable, with a slightly translucent finish.

Tools Memory Foam Shoulder Straps

Also getting an update are Tenba’s three shoulder straps: the Tools Memory

Foam Shoulder Strap, Tools Memory Foam Shoulder Strap Pad – 1.5-inch (3.8 cm) and the Tools Memory Foam Shoulder Strap Pad – 2-inch (5 cm) all in black.  Finished in new fabrics, with new memory foam and new very comfortable non-slip material on the bottom.

Users will benefit from improved all day carrying comfort when carrying virtually any bag, as layered foam padding is easy on the shoulders. The memory foam pad disperses the weight of the bag, preventing hot-spots and unpleasant pressure on the shoulders.  Special silicone-coated material on the base ensures a non-slip grip.

The Tools Memory Foam Shoulder Strap made with seatbelt-grade webbing has heavily reinforced stitching and strong metal clips.  The removeable memory foam pad can also be used with any bag that has a strap up to 2 inches (5 cm) in width to add comfort.

The Tools Memory Foam Shoulder Strap Pad 1.5 and 2 inch can be used with any bag to provide added comfort; their versatile folding design makes them quick and easy to remove and reattach to any bag that needs a comfort upgrade.
