Same great quality and performance: Lastolite By Manfrotto to rebrand to Manfrotto
Lastolite By Manfrotto, the world’s leading manufacturer of backgrounds and lighting control systems is pleased to announce that from 5th July 2021 all products within the current portfolio will now be manufactured and sold as Manfrotto.
The rebrand of the Lastolite by Manfrotto Backgrounds and Lighting Control systems to Manfrotto is in response to industry and consumer behaviour changes over recent years as still and moving image continues to converge. The portfolio of products will remain the same, known for their great quality and exceptional performance, but from July 5th 2021 all products made in the production facility in Ashby De La Zouch, UK will be produced under the Manfrotto brand.
This exciting change brings together two highly innovative, world renowned brands and will lead the way for many exciting developments in the future. Both part of the Vitec Imaging Solutions portfolio of brands, Manfrotto will now become the group’s power brand in the world of lighting accessories offering consumers the most comprehensive and innovative range of products in the market. Explaining more Mark Langley, Brand Director for Lighting at Vitec Imaging Solutions states, ‘Following the successful rebrand from Lastolite to Lastolite By Manfrotto back in 2016, the imaging market and the Lastolite By Manfrotto product portfolio has changed significantly. During this time the Lastolite By Manfrotto user has also evolved from primarily being a traditional stills photographer to today’s more versatile, still and moving image content creator. This change has naturally brought the Manfrotto and Lastolite By Manfrotto brands closer together, serving the same customer with a complimentary portfolio of products, and it was a natural progression to bring the brands together as one.’
Over the coming months the brand transition will become more visible to the end consumer as products produced under the Manfrotto brand reach the market. Whilst there will be a period where Lastolite By Manfrotto and Manfrotto versions of the products will be available at the same time, consumers can rest assured to know that the design, functionality and UK manufacturing quality of the products will remain consistent.
