Many photographers have moved out of their studios to work from home, some investing grants and bounceback loans in garden rooms. But when clients return, the limits of a small studio hit home. You need headroom, working distance and plenty of width to position lighting and get the best view.

Easily reached two minutes from the Oval tube station (Northern Line) a 1200 square foot studio is now offered for other photographers to hire by 3Objectives Photography. It’s got everything from a goods lift and double door access to a 14 foot ceiling with 12 foot wide wind-up background supports. The 14 feet width is ideal to make full use of more than 25 colours of 9-foot background paper stocked.

A corner cove and a range of painted or plain flats, stools, plinths, black and white polyboards, silk scrim screen and other essentials lets the Covid-compliant studio become your personalised shooting space with 22 feet from camera to subject if needed. 

The studio is suitable for stills, multimedia and movie work featuring products and people, food, faces or fashion. It’s cleaned and sanitised daily, and has a kitchen area with fridge, water-cooler, free tea and coffee. There’s an on-site Mac for hire (with Phase One Capture 12), model dressing room with hair and make-up, clothes rails, steamer and ironing. The National Theatre prop house is a neighbour along with a wide range of amenities, a café, transport links and on-site parking.

3Objectives is available for hire as a friendly, safe venue for shoots which need more space and facilities than home, garage, garden room or small commercial unit studio can offer.
