70 Years of outstanding photographic services
This week sees the 70th birthday of the UK’s oldest pro lab, Digitalab! Registered on the 24th of October 1949 by Percy Basil Fountain, our current MD Jill Roe’s Grandfather. The company started as ‘Mobile Photo Services’ (with a rebrand and new name 12 years ago – we are not THAT forward thinking!)
So much has changed within the industry during those 70 years but our commitment to great service and unbeatable printing and products remains the same. Percy, his son Basil ‘Bas’ Fountain and now Jill have taken this family owned lab from strength to strength with a drive to continually innovate and improve our service. The past few years have seen us invest in and expand our product offering enabling us to provide the very best print and wall art options to an even larger market. We have also received a host of national awards including Best Professional Lab from the Societies of Photographers and Large Trader of the Year for 3 years running at the NPPS. With so many exciting innovations with technology and such a huge level of talent within the industry today we can’t wait to see what comes next. Here’s to another 70 years!
