VANGUARD introduces New VEO 2S Monopods with Tri-Feet
There are times when a photographer needs more stability than a traditional monopod offers, but isn’t able to carry or setup a tripod, for example at a concert or a sports event. That’s where the new VEO 2S Monopods come into their own!
Available in aluminium and carbon fibre, each model includes fast set Twist Locks and an attached Tri-Foot that allow the monopod to be set up in seconds with an incredibly discreet footprint, but a lot more stability than a traditional monopod. The tri-foot also allows the photographer to pan the monopod, or lock/unlock the base to allow the photographer to choose to maximise stability, or leave it looser to track fast moving options.
There are Four Models of the VEO 2S Monopods:
1 – VEO 2S AM-234TR is an aluminium monopod with a 23mm diameter leg that folds down to 52cm and weighs just 805g. Despite this portability, it can extend to 155cm and take a maximum load capacity of 5kg. RRP £79.99
2 – VEO 2S AM-264TR is an aluminium monopod with a 26mm diameter leg that folds down to 55cm and weighs just 890g. Despite this portability, it can extend to 163cm and take a maximum load capacity of 6kg. RRP £89.99
3 – VEO 2S CM-264TR is a carbon fibre monopod with a 26mm diameter leg that folds down to 55cm and weighs just 800g. Despite this portability, it can extend to 163cm and take a maximum load capacity of 6kg. RRP £109.99
Each of these models has a standard ¼” thread, allowing the photographer to attach a camera or small tripod head onto this monopod.
They also come with a Vanguard Smartphone Connector with an RRP of £19.99 as standard. The Smartphone Connector can be attached to the monopod, or used separately for hands free photography, video calls or just watching an online video.
The final model does not include a Smartphone Connector and is aimed to offer a solution to photographers looking to use their mirrorless/DSLR camera for video
4 – VEO 2S AM-264TV combines the aluminium VEO 2S AM-264TR with VEO PH-13 2-way Video Head (RRP £69.99). This kit folds down to 63cm and weighs 1,430g. Despite this portability, it can extend to 171cm and take a maximum load capacity of 4kg. The combination of the smooth video head, with the versatile and stable monopod leg allows photographers to follow the action with ease. RRP £119.99
