One Vision Imaging - Britannia Wedding Album

One Vision Imaging, the UK’s leading professional photographic laboratory, claim they have a solution to help wedding photographers fight back against the surge of ‘digital only’ (USB) weddings.

The pressure from couples to deliver wedding photography as cheaply as possible has been significant for many years now and the digital revolution certainly didn’t help the success of professional photographers. Being forced or priced out of the market by others offering ‘digital only’ or USB wedding packages has become commonplace, and with it, photographers work being carelessly printed is an increasingly common problem.

Well maybe One Vision Imaging’s new ‘Britannia’ Wedding Album could mark the end of this digital revolution? Offering a full size, 12 x 10” Wedding Album with 40 true photographically printed pages and packaged in a luxury presentation box, all for under £100 is possibly the start of the end of USB Weddings!

So just how is this possible? We asked this question to OVI’s Managing Director, Derek Poulston.

”The challenges facing professional photographers and indeed our industry as a whole is massive. Not only are photographers having to fight against the amateurs, but they’re also being challenged on ever decreasing prices. Gone are the days when every wedding resulted in a high quality album and sadly this was one element that stood professional’s apart from the amateurs. Nowadays everyone wants everything for nothing and professionals are really having to work hard to maintain market share. For many years now digital litho books have been cheaply available, but these haven’t really taken off in the wedding market, perhaps down to the print quality. Due to our recently purchased state of the art album block making equipment, we’ve now managed to print and manufacture an album using the very best Fuji DPII professional paper retaining true image quality. Thanks to its efficiencies we’ve been able to produce a true photographic, full size album, for under £100 – which is truly remarkable! No longer will photographers have to give away their beautiful images for next to nothing and risk them being misrepresented by poor quality printing. This is often the case when photographers are forced to provide a USB only wedding package.”

Britannia Wedding Album

The album, named Britannia, is available in the two most popular Wedding Album sizes of 12 x 10” and 12 x 12”. There’s a choice of 20, 40 or 60 spreads, and the soft-touch leatherette covers are available in Black or Grey. These cover can be laser engraved for an additional cost. The album comes packaged in its own black presentation box for a neat and professional finish.

So, does this mark the end of the ‘digital only’ wedding?

Only time will tell, but One Vision Imaging have certainly made a bold statement in their quest to help professional photographers fight back.
