My Voyage of Discovery competition makes the papers

The Society of International Travel and Tourism Photographers’ competition makes the headlines.

The Society of International Travel and Tourism Photographers are pleased to announce that their My Voyage of Discovery photographic competition has caught the eye of the UK media.

The winning image of a Buddhist monk being rowed through the morning mist by Jewel Chakma has been published in The Daily Telegraph (Thursday 22 December 2016) and published online on the Daily Mail website and The Sun.

But it wasn’t just the winning image that captured the press’ imagination. Vytenis Malisaukas’ image of a train crossing Glenfinnan Viaduct in Scotland was published online by The Scotsman. The Times printed John Massey’s photo of The Old Man of Storr.

Phil Jones The Societies CEO says, “It’s fantastic to see our members getting recognition and publicity for their wonderful photography. We are preparing a range of photographic competitions for 2017 and we look forward to seeing the results in the national news again”.

He continues, “We have been very fortunate to share our members work with the UK and International press and over the years we have been featured in the Daily Mail, ITV News, Amateur Photographer magazine, Express and The Telegraph to name a few.”
