Amazing Creatures Photography Competition Winners Announced

The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers have announced the winners of Amazing Creatures Photography Competition.
For this competition, photographers were asked to submit any image that depicts all kinds of wildlife from tiny pond life to herds of animals in their natural environment.
Edmund Telford from Ayrshire, Scotland was chosen as the winner from over 140 images entered into the competition.
Edmund tells us
“Thank you very much indeed for this piece of good news – it is indeed a great honour to receive this award from your prestigious organisation.
The image was taken on Sunday 26th July in the Midlands on a dull wet day as can be seen from the motion in the falling rain. I had just purchased a new Tamron 150 – 600mm telephoto lens and took this image at 600mm from a hide resting on a bean bag. The light was not particularly kind on this occasion and I had to crank up the ISO on my Nikon D610 up to ISO 3,200 in order to achieve an exposure of f8 at a 1/320th sec”
Edmund has won 12 months membership to The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers SINWP. Phil Jones, The Societies CEO says,
“The entries in this months competition were of an exceptionally high standard and Edmunds well captured shot showed the theme of the competition in its entirety.”
The runners-up Christopher Algar and Cathy Withers-Clarke have both been awarded 6 months membership to the SINWP photographic organisation.
