PermaJet Win Top Photography Award for Best Inkjet Paper!

Thousands of pro and enthusiast photographers took part in The Societies awards and voted PermaJet’s Oyster 271′ as the Best Inkjet Paper of 2014 during The Societies London Photo Convention on 17th January 2015.
Across a number of months towards the end of 2014, people voted to find the best photographic brands and products from the UK. PermaJet were the runaway winners of the Best Inkjet Paper category, picking up their award during The Societies Convention awards ceremony.
“We are seeing more and more people come to us for their fine art and everyday photo papers” says PermaJet’s Steven Price, “and that’s because they see unique quality twinned with leading levels of support. Winning this award means a lot to PermaJet and recognises the achievements and innovations we have made over the last 12 months”.
This award comes at a time when PermaJet is gearing up for a massive move into the USA market and this prestigious award will be held in high regard with both pro and enthusiast photographers all over the world.
“Through working with photographic labs, museums, photographers, galleries, universities and those printing their own images at home, we have been able to grow our understanding of what those groups need from their inkjet media”.
Whatever the volume of printing – be it a number of exclusive prints on roll media, or some six-by-four-inch holiday snaps – the Oyster 271 has stayed popular because of its ability to draw out the qualities in different styles of photography, without distracting from the image itself. ”We first developed this paper back in 2000 and it continues to be one of our most loved papers across all of the markets we produce for.”
PermaJet’s Oyster 271 has a subtle pearl/lustre finish with a heavy base weight of 271gsm giving it a true photographic texture and finish. Manufactured to be the whitest Oyster/Pearl surfaced paper on the market, the tough, instant dry, resin-coated paper is finished with a UV-protective, microporous super coat providing high water and fade resistance. The way the paper handles colour and tone as well as it’s low metamerism index makes it suitable for a wide range of images both full colour and black and white.
