Celebrating Nature Photographic Competition Winners Announced

Kyle Moore

The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers have announced the winners of the Celebrating Nature Photographic Competition.

For this competition, photographers were asked photographers to submit images that reflect beauty and capture the true essence of the world around us.

Kyle Moore from Suffolk, UK was chosen as the winner from over 500 images entered in to the competition, with the image entitled ‘Snowy Squirrel‘. The photograph was taken on a Canon EOS-1D Mark III, Canon 300mm lens, 250 ISO, aperture f/4 1/250 second lens.

Kyle has won 12 months membership to The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers SINWP. Phil Jones, The Societies CEO says,

“A moment captured well, giving a feeling of the coldness of the time and place. The image is well composed with the focus of attention being placed on the subject. A good choice of wide aperture to isolate the subject from the background makes this a memorable image”

Kyle said.

“The picture was taken in my local park on a snowy winters day last year. I had spotted the squirrel coming towards me so I got down low and luckily managed to get the shot.”

The runners up David Morton from Somerset, UK and Sheila Sargeant from Kent, UK have both been awarded 6 months membership to the SINWP photographic organisation.
