Treasures of Nature Photography Competition Winners Announced
The Society of Nature and Wildlife Photographers have announced the winners of the Treasures of Nature Photography Competition.
For this competition, we were looking for images that depict this vibrant topic. From landscapes to wildlife a mixture of all varieties nature photography were entered in to the competition.
Michelle Valberg from Ontario, Canada with the image entitled ‘On the Move‘ was chosen as the winner from over 350 pictures entered in to the competition.
Michelle said,
“The photo was taken March 2013 in Wapusk National Park near Churchill, Manitoba. It is one of the only known denning areas of the polar bears that visitors can see the bears first out of their dens. I used a Nikon D4 and a 600mm lens.”
Michelle has won 12 months membership to The Society of Nature and Wildlife Photographers SINWP.
The runners-up Debbie Picknell and Anne Algar have both been awarded 6 months membership to the SINWP photographic organisation.
