Developed in partnership with leading landscape photographer Doug Chinnery, Cotton Etching 300 has been added to Fotospeed’s Signature range and gives photographers a texture unlike any other paper
Fotospeed, the UK’s premier photographic paper brand, have added a second new paper to their range ahead of this year’s Photography show. Cotton Etching 300 follows the launch of Platinum Cotton 305 in February, and is the latest addition to Fotospeed’s Signature range, which brings together some of the world’s leading and most respected photographers with Fotospeed’s award winning and most popular papers.
A texture like no other: about Cotton Etching 300
Developed in partnership with leading landscape photographer Doug Chinnery, Cotton Etching 300 has a surface unlike anything else in the Fotospeed range, which helps accentuate detail and gives depth to your image. Cotton Etching 300 is a 100% cotton, acid free fine art paper with a white base and the latest coating technology to give you a wide colour gamut and pin sharp detail.
The paper will be added to Fotospeed’s Signature range, which includes papers made in collaboration with photographers such as Trevor and Faye Yerbury, Joe Cornish, John Swannell, and Charlie Waite.
Doug Chinnery said, “To hold a finely crafted print in the hand and to have made the digital image into something real, something tangible, is a wonderful thing, and for an artist, the ultimate honour is to have the opportunity to have a unique paper designed to their own specifications, which is what Fotospeed asked me to do. The result of their technical and creative expertise along with my – often rather demanding – requests, is Cotton Etching 305 – a paper with good weight, a beautiful heavy matt texture designed to bring out the fine detail, and a gorgeous soft whiteness that I adore. It renders colours and monochromes beautifully and I feel immensely proud to put my name to it.”
Toby Herlinger, Sales & Marketing Director at Fotospeed, added “Cotton Etching 300 sits alongside our popular Platinum Etching 285 as a more textured alternative. The surface texture is completely different to anything else we offer and helps complete our range. Developing this paper with Doug was such a pleasure as he understands how a paper enhances images in a way a screen just can’t. We are thrilled to have him on board as a Signature Photographer.”
Cotton Etching is available now on the Fotospeed website in A4, A3, A3+, A2 sheets & 24” & 44” rolls.
