More Than Skin Deep – PermaJet Launch New Packaging at Photokina!

PermaJet Photo Paper

PermaJet complete an eighteen month business development project with a face lift to their packaging which will help photographers and artists easily identify the ideal inkjet media for their images.

Project Pioneer is the title for a series of updates that PermaJet has been introducing over the last eighteen months. Upgrades to their Fibre Based Baryta range of inkjet papers in 2015, followed by groundbreaking improvements to their Fine Art range in early 2016, has seen the inkjet media specialists receive multiple awards this year. This new packaging design is introduced to signify the completion of this round of innovative developments.

PermaJet’s Head of Marketing, Joseph Reiner says, ”The intention has always been to emphasize our product updates with a more distinctive redesign but we are also using this opportunity to create even more unique benefits for PermaJet dealers, high street retailers and users themselves.”

The new packaging is:

  • 100% Acid free
  • Produced to archival standards
  • Resistant to changes in humidity
  • Made from sustainably sourced material

Photographers and artists can use this new PermaJet packaging to store inkjet prints without fear of discolouring or deterioration for many years, with no need to purchase an additional, expensive print storage system.

In terms of design, PermaJet have chosen to keep the cover simple but build upon the instantly recognisable sunflower logo. ”We introduced the almond shape on the front of the new design to represent a creative person’s eye, envisioning the world around them,” continues Joseph. ”We have also made it far easier to immediately identify the specific products in each box”.

With the continued growth in the export side of the business, international customers of PermaJet will also benefit from translations in Italian, Spanish, German, French and Chinese on the reverse of the box. Something that is now vitally important to the success of their business.
