Living Planet Photography Competition Winners Announced

David Bladon

The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers have announced the winners of the Living Planet Photographic Competition.

For this competition, photographers were asked to submit images that captured anything from nature’s finest creatures or simply stunning scenery.

David Bladon from Newtownabbey, Northern Ireland says

“Many thanks, a bit gob smacked. Basically, the weather kept going from sun to showers and I was a bit bored, every time the sun broke through I’d search for insects and creatures that would make a decent macro shot, I actually have a series of these with the ladybird in different positions. I used a small reflector to add in natural fill light, ladybird was released after the shoot and since doing them they have been very popular”.

David has won 12 months membership to The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers (SINWP).

Phil Jones, The Societies CEO says,

“Another bumper crop of stunning images this month, we are delighted with the winner with David’s bright, colourful and eye-catching image which portrays the spirit of the competition.”

The runners up Debashis Mukherjee from Kolkata, and Violetta Nowak from Lubuskie, Poland have both been awarded 6 months membership to the SINWP photographic organisation.
