Street Action Photographic Competition Winners Announced

The Society of International Travel and Tourism Photographers have announced the winners of the Street Action Photography Competition.
For this month’s competition we were looking for images with strong clear narratives, so images of people engrossed in an activity was greatly encouraged.
Graham Nicholls from Timsbury, Somerset image was chosen from over 370 images entered.
Graham explains a bit about the image
“She had a sales stand just outside of the Abbey churchyard in Bath adjacent to the Pumprooms and was demonstrating her art to passers by and selling to anyone interested. I took the image in colour, converted it to black & white and used Topaz adjust to give it a bit of grit. It was taken on 27th August 2013 with a Canon 450D Iso 200 at 1/200 F5.6 using a Canon 55 – 250 lens.”
Graham has won 12 months membership to The Society of International Travel and Tourism Photographers SITTP.
Phil Jones, The Societies CEO says,
This image captures the true essence of the artist and portrays the street scene. A well captured moment in a photojournalistic style. The competition had a very high standard which made judging very difficult, the range of entries was very broad and we have seen everything from the street buskers to street parties.
2nd place was Jack Ladenburg from London and 3rd place were Robert Moore from West Midlands were both been awarded 6 months membership to the SITTP photographic organisation.
