Our Colourful World Photography Competition Winners Announced

Vit Javorik

The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers have announced the winners of the ‘Our Colourful World’ Photography Competition.

For this competition we asked to see all kinds of images depicting the colour that Mother Nature provides us all across the globe. Whether it is the Aurora Borealis in the night sky or stunning bright wildlife.

Vit Javorik from Berkshire, England was chosen as the winner from over 190+ images entered in to the competition.

Vit has won 12 months membership to The Society of International Nature and Wildlife Photographers (SINWP) organisation.

Vit tells us ” thanks very much for the great news and the prize too! I’ve taken this photo in Longleat Safari & Adventure park last year, I wasn’t expecting to get any extraordinary results with no macro lens, but then this butterfly got my attention- It was hiding behind the leaf and the edge of the leaf was matching the colours of the butterfly. So I just had to focus right and get the right angle to get the decent green background, got decent image in the end with no need of massive crop!”

Phil Jones, the Societies CEO says, “October’s competition brought in some great images of some of nature’s most colourful places and animals. Vit’s image was chosen as it sat great with the theme of the competition”.

There are 2 runners-up Graham Borthwick from Gloucestershire and Dawn Black from the Netherlands.
