Recognition Award 2022

This year we are awarding our Special Achievement to somebody who, not only has been a consistent and dedicated supporter of The Societies of Photographers for almost 17 years, but has also helped numerous photographers throughout the industry, to understand print and digital and what is in a print.

This person, most of his life has worked in the photographic world, behind the camera, in the darkroom, digital post processing. He has quoted on his webpage, “Vision is the art of seeing what is invisible to others.” by Jonathan Swift.

This person has not only been a member with us since 2006, but during that time they have given back to the industry time and time again. He’s been involved in 18 Conventions, where he has judged and spoke at all of them.

Phil and Juliet Jones, had the utmost pleasure of meeting Ramon many years ago, when they went to visit Malta to lecture. Theirs first opinion of him has never changed, he is this wonderful smiling happy Maltese, who always wants to give a hug and nothing is too much to ask. He has been a wonderful ambassador for The Societies of Photographers, and he always wants to help photographers.

So, this year we wanted to celebrate somebody who not only has given back to our organisation, but also who literally goes out of his way to support, encourage, and helps photographers to take their images to the next level.
