A very strong storytelling image that engages the viewer.
The man was just another of the hundreds of asylum-seekers that Darrin has photographed arriving in Malta, sitting on a bus whilst waiting to be driven away to police headquarters for processing by immigration officials. But with a momentary glance, all that changed. His gaze straight at Darrin was piercing and haunting, tearing through his camera lens.
