Convention 2023 discussion / in my happy place today...
Last post by McGillicuddy - March 02, 2023, 03:40:45 PM
in my happy place today playing with some of my favourite PermaJet papers, getting images ready for The Societies of Photographers International convention in London.

Colin, Terrie Ann Jones & the team put so much effort in to the whole event,  it really is worth the trip to the capital.  The print competition is a fabulous way to learn and to watch is free, yes FREE!

It is an event not to miss, if you are really unlucky you may even get to see me... if you do, stop and say "Hi", I'm always happy to chat photography.

Nearly time now, seriously can't wait 😛

I remember the moment I took a deep breath and messaged Colin Jones of The Societies about working more closely with them to provide webinars for photographers and also to put myself forward as a speaker for the convention.

I was papping myself!

I am super confident when it comes to online speaking...the comfort of knowing I can have my pjs and slippers on my bottom half and escape to the living room once class has finished!

But when it comes to being in front of actual people, in front of an actual living audience...oh my actual aardvaark! It makes me nervous, sweaty, stammery and all of a flutter!

BUT I DO IT!
Why...because I love to serve our photography community, I adore working with The Societies, and it stretches me out of my comfort zone..because no magic every happens in the comfort zone!

What have you done recently to get out of your comfort zone?

If you fancy joining me at an all day business event for ambitious and success driving photographers...then click right here for all the details...and I will see you in LONDON BABY!
