Chris Miller

Chris Miller

Chris Miller is a dog photography specialist who loves nothing more than capturing that unique emotional connection and deep, unconditional love between the dog lover and their beloved dog. He prides himself on providing an overall experience, taking quality time to get to know his clients and their dogs.

With a happy and relaxed approach to photography sessions, he makes sure each dog can be itself. A dog being a dog through running, playing and having fun in familiar surroundings. He passionately believe that dogs are best photographed within a natural environment. Photography is his passion, pets are his life.

Through MIL Pet Photography, Chris strives to deliver a 5 star experience every time, capturing each dog’s true personality in emotive photography.

Continued Personal Development

Chris is committed to continued personal development, and each year he invests significant time and attention to an area of major learnings to expand his knowledge and experience for the benefits of his clients. In the last fours years, he has:

• completed the 150 CPD hours/points of necessary training and assessment to demonstrate his competence and understanding in the field of Canine Behaviour Training, achieving his Diploma with a Distinction
• studied and achieved certification to become a Pet Loss Grief Specialist with One Last Network, allowing him to be more attuned to the specific needs of grieving dog guardians, through the difficult decisions that come with the end-of-life stage.
• studied under Claudio Picolli, Nikon’s ambassador for Dogs in Action photography, and achieved his Dog Photography Masters under Claudio’s program.
• attended the world’s first international dog photographers conference Shutterhound in Las Vegas in 2023, learning techniques and tips from the world’s best dog photographers.
• through the Societies of Photographers, been mentored and achieved his Licentiate professional qualification with his panel of 20 dog portraits

Making a Difference

As a professional Dog Photographer, Chris dedicates his time to a limited number of private clients each year with MIL Pet Photography and charitable dog organisations with Millers Image Limited. With his wife, they are published authors of Tails of Windsor & Ascot, telling the story of 45 dogs. In time for Crufts 2025, Chris is completing his second book “Tails at 60: Celebrating the Lives of Dogs” and a composite Art Piece of all 60 dogs, raising awareness and funds for the national charity Support Dogs.

Chris limits his work to just 30 private clients each year, enabling him to have plenty of time to give back and make a difference for dog charities. He has a strong passion to photograph dogs who help others (such as assistance and support dogs) and dogs who have been rescued and given a second chance. Chris regularly works with many of the UK’s dog charities, including Support Dogs, Berkshire Search and Rescue Dogs, Medical Detection Dogs, Greyhound Trust, and Jack’s Giant Journey.

Chris donates his time and provides professional photographs to help make a difference.
