Building a Lifestyle Photography Business

St Julien

Have you had enough of the rat race and just want to follow your passion? Or maybe you are trying to find a way to start a lifestyle photography business that gives you time to also focus on life’s key moments. Have you ever thought that you could consider a career switch for an early retirement? This Masterclass will take you on the journey of one of the Societies’ members, and how approaching 60, he decided to retire early so that he could focus on his passion – and build a lifestyle photography business.

Chris joined SWPP in 2016 as an avid amateur photographer, travelling the world in his corporate life in the Tech Industry and taking travel photographs for stock image library sales. Attending each of the annual conventions since 2017, he kept an open mind and was inspired by so many of the Masterclass speakers. Chris continued his full-time day job and spent as much time as he could in his spare hours focusing on personal development for the future ahead. Each year, he gained value and insight from attending the annual convention and started focusing more and more on the business elements, as well as choosing to specialise as an on location dog photographer.

In 2022, Chris retired early from the Tech Industry and dedicated himself to MIL Pet Photography. Chris wanted a “Lifestyle” Photography Business, so that he could also manage and balance some of life’s other priorities, including grandparent duties.

Chris believes that not everyone wants to be a full time professional photographer. He feels there are many people who want a full time focus on a part time basis. This Masterclass will help anyone who has the desire to run a Lifestyle Photography Business, profitably and relatively stress free.

Whilst Chris is a dog photographer, this Masterclass is about starting a business professionally and will help anyone considering a part time Lifestyle Photography Business to build and manage for the years ahead.
