The incorporation of Artificial Intelligence (AI) into wedding photography brings both innovative opportunities and significant ethical concerns. This seminar explores the impact of AI on enhancing creative processes and the accompanying ethical challenges such as authenticity, consent, and copyright issues. We discuss how AI can alter traditional roles by introducing capabilities like real-time editing and scene reconstruction, as well as creating fake portfolios. We address concerns over the authenticity of AI-enhanced images, privacy issues stemming from the use of guest likenesses, and the legalities of replicating specific photographic styles without permission. The seminar concludes with proposed ethical guidelines for AI use in wedding photography, emphasising transparency, privacy protection, and respect for original artistic contributions, aiming to maintain the integrity of this deeply personal art form.
