Why do some colour combinations work in our photos and others don’t? All colours within our imagery make a difference, from landscapes to portraits, both in studio and on location. This is especially true of you’d like to add colours to your photos with gels or constant lighting. We will cover basic colour theory and make an easy process for working out which colours work together and which don’t. We will also touch on some of the terminology and technicalities regarding colour, from colour spaces to buying/making/installing & using profiles, and what HSL is really all about and what is in and out of gamut & dynamic range, and also how to make the colours on screen look right!
