NEW FEATURE | REGLIDE REMOVABLE WHEEL SYSTEM:
Vanguard introduces ReGlide removable wheels, allowing you to make the bag a little smaller to fit into a tighter spaces, or to change worn wheels to maximise the life of your bag. Simply remove and replace.

NEW FEATURE | 2-STAGE DUAL BAR HANDLE:
For the Alta Fly 55T G2 the design team have been able to upgrade the handle to a dual bar handle without impacting any of these.

The external dimensions are 340 x 245 x 555mm (about 50mm smaller in all dimensions).
The camera compartment is the same 22 litres, measuring in at 310 x 115 x 410mm.
Still fits a 14” laptop in the 290 x 25 x 410mm laptop compartment.
The weight is the same at 3.8kg (actually fractionally lighter).

In addition to being more robust, the dual bar handle allows you to slip a laptop bag with a roller sleeve on and carry without it twisting round as you walk.

EXISTING FEATURE | CONVERTS TO A BACKPACK
A photographer’s life is not always airport terminals and smooth going. When the going gets rough, the Alta Fly 55T G2 simply converts to a backpack.
Remove the padded shoulder straps and clip them to the D Ring, pull out the waist straps and you’re good to go in no time at all. It also includes an adjustable chest strap for maximum comfort.
If you’ve been rolling the trolley on wet ground, simply pull out add fit the rear wheel covers and you can walk without worrying about the wheels dirtying your shirt or jacket in backpack more

EXISTING FEATURE | TRIPOD HOLDER
On the side is a pocket with a tripod foot holder that is tucked away so it doesn’t flap around when not needed, and a strap at the top of the bag.

EXISTING FEATURE | STORAGE GALORE
As well as the main compartment, there additional pockets for your accessories.
Removing the camera section allows it to be used as an everyday bag.

The Society of International Travel and Tourism Photographers have announced the winners of the Street Photography Competition.

Juan Monte from Ravels, Belgium was chosen as the winner.

Juan has won 12 months Professional membership to The Societies (worth £150) and a copy of DxO Filmpack 6 software (worth £129)

Alan Jones’s street image entitled ‘Church Goers’ has been awarded 1st place in this year’s Street Photography Competition.

For this competition we saw 100s of images from around the globe featuring everything from workers, musicians, holidaymakers to people going about their day to day business.

Well done all a fantastic selection of images entered.

Alan has won 12 months Professional membership with The Societies of Photographers & DxO PureRAW 2 Software valued at £115.

He goes on and tells us ”The image was taken at a church door in Barcelona. It was entirely candid. I saw the possibilities of a shot very quickly and was keen to get a symmetrical composition. Fortunately no other passers-by got in the way. The crossed legs of the two individuals was a bonus. The colour version is good but I thought B+W suited better.”

”It was taken on a Canon 5D with EF24-105 L lens at 200 ISO f8 at 1/15th.”

Colin Jones The Societies Director says, “The Street Photography Competition was very popular this year with entries coming in from all around the world. Alan’s image suited the theme of the competition, splendidly capturing a moment in time.”

Graham Charles ASWPP ‘The Kelpes’ Image

The Society of International Travel and Tourism Photographers have announced the winners of the Landmarks Photography Competition.

Graham Charles ASWPP from West Yorkshire, image of The Kelpes in Falkirk has been awarded 1st place in this year’s Landmarks Photography Competition.

Graham has won 12 months Professional membership with The Societies of Photographers.

He goes on and tells us ”This shot of “The Kelpies” near Falkirk in Scotland was taken on a evening in December, the air was dead still, it would have been beautiful if it weren’t so bitterly cold.”

Equipment used – Nikon D800 with Nikkor AFS VR 16-35 @16mm, 15 sec@f7.1, ISO 50, Thick coat, and warm gloves!
