Park Cameras, one of the UK’sleading independent photographic retailers announced today that their store in Central London is relocating 130 metres away to a brand-new store in Rathbone Place, Fitzrovia, London.

Fresh new store takes customers in-store experience to the next level

Since opening their London store in late 2013, thousands of customers have visited Park Cameras in London and have been able to try out a fantastic range of photo and video products and importantly speak to their team of creators to get friendly, expert advice.

Early in 2025, Park Cameras were notified that the whole corner block of Rathbone Place and Oxford Street will be extensively redeveloped mid-way through 2025 to construct a 12-storey building (4 below ground and 8 above). Sadly, this meant that the store had to move.

Over the past decade, Park Cameras have met the needs of photographers and videographers in London at all levels and built up a fantastic customer base and incredible team to serve them. Therefore, they wanted to keep this brilliant team and remain as close as possible to make it extremely accessible, particularly with the great connections on the Elizabeth line but also the Northern and Central lines.

So the new store is just 130 metres away from their previous location, still on Rathbone Place in London, so less than a 2-minute walk from their previous store. It has been a significant investment and Park Cameras have been supported by a wide range of brands to make the store possible with particular thanks given to Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon and Sony, the lead sponsors of the store. It’s extremely encouraging that the industry as a whole is keen to support the physical footprint of stores, something Park Cameras is particularly proud to deliver.

Relocating to a new store has provided Park Cameras a fantastic opportunity to improve the shopping experience that their customers can expect to receive when visiting. Upon stepping into their new store found at 34 Rathbone Place, you’ll experience a large, bright store with lots of imagery and a huge range of cameras, lenses, tripods, bags, gimbals and more available to see and get hands-on with.

Located all on one floor, navigating the store to find what you need is easier than ever with fresh displays showcasing some of the most popular photo and video products from brands including Canon, Fujifilm, Nikon and Sony.

A large demonstration table within the store offers plenty of space allowing customers to make more informed decisions prior to making their purchase as they can get hands-on with the latest kit available. Upon visiting, you will also be able to touch and try products from Panasonic, OM System, DJI, Sigma and Tamron to name just a few.

And whatever type of content you’re looking to capture, upon visiting the store you’ll also be able to try out the variety of tripods, monopods and heads from Manfrotto and other leading brands. Customers visiting the store are welcome to bring their kit with them to find the ideal solution for their needs.

For those looking to get closer to nature, Park Cameras have replicated the Bird Hide theme seen in their flagship Burgess Hill store, where customers can get hands-on with optics from leading brands including Zeiss, Nikon, Hawke, Leica and Pentax, including Trail Cameras and Thermal Cameras.

The Park Cameras team of friendly experts are on hand to provide guidance and advice and are always on hand to provide in-depth product information as well as giving valuable recommendations on the best products for visiting customers.

In addition to the wide variety of products to try out, Park Cameras have retained their range of services including passport and visa photos, sensor cleans with same day or next day options, and instant photo prints available at a variety of sizes printing directly from your camera or phone.

You can find the new Park Cameras store at 34 Rathbone Place, London, W1T 1JN. Celebrate with Park Cameras in the first week of opening and benefit from some exclusive in store only deals on a wide range of products!

Commercial Director Frank Keenan spoke about the brand-new store explaining, “Relocating our Central London store had not come without its challenges but has given us the opportunity to further improve what we can offer to creatives within the industry and help them make informed decisions as to which products best suit their needs. Staying within Rathbone Place was important to us, and we look forward to welcoming both old and new customers to what we believe is the best camera shop in London. Throughout our 50+ year history, our ethos has always been to put the needs of our customers first, and we believe that with this store, it will help us do that for many years to come.”

There’s never been a better time to visit Park Cameras, with a wide range of fantastic offers available both in-store and online at www.parkcameras.com.

Sony introduces the Wireless Shooting Grip/Tripod “GP-VPT3” and Remote Commander “RMT-VP2” featuring Bluetooth® wireless technology compatible with Alpha™ Series and Vlog Camera Series. The “GP-VPT3” supports stable handheld shooting with a grip design optimised for ease of use and flexible shooting angles, accommodating cameras weighing up to 1.5 kgii. The grip can be used as a tripod and the remote commander can be detached and used as a remote control.

The ergonomically designed grip allows handheld shooting while performing key camera operations, such as zoom and focus, with one hand, regardless of dominant hand, for both still images and videos. The head mechanism allows for one-touch switching between self-portrait and outward shooting, and the tilt mechanism enables free angle adjustment.

The detachable remote commander is equipped with a MOVIE button, Zoom/Focus button, and C1 (Custom) button, allowing one-handed operation. This allows shutter operation from a distance so the photographer can be included in group photos and reduces camera shake in low-light conditions. The remote commander connects to Sony cameras and Xperia™ smartphones with a wireless communication range of approximately 10 miii. The grip and remote commander connect to the main unit without cables or receivers, maintaining dust and moisture proof performance during camera connection.iv

The remote commander RMT-VP2 is also available for purchase separately.

Pricing and Availability

The GP-VPT3 will be available in June 2025 for approximately €145/£120 and the RMT-VP2 for approximately €85/£75.

Nikon is pleased to announce that Adobe will add support for Nikon’s N-RAW video format to its video editing software, Premiere Pro, with a new version scheduled for release by the end of 2025.

N-RAW is Nikon’s proprietary high-quality RAW video format that provides users with a large amount of imaging data in order to enable more freedom and flexibility in post-production. Adobe Premiere Pro is a popular video editing software widely used by professional creators and filmmakers, and support for the N-RAW format opens up extensive new possibilities for video and film production using Nikon cameras. Premiere Pro support for the N-RAW format has been realised via the addition of Nikon N-RAW support to RED’s R3D SDK.

Nikon will continuously meet the needs of those involved in video and film production, contributing to the development of imaging culture, with the hope of expanding possibilities for imaging expression.

Apple announced the new Mac Studio, the most powerful Mac ever made, featuring M4 Max and the new M3 Ultra chip. The ultimate pro desktop delivers groundbreaking pro performance, extensive connectivity now with Thunderbolt 5, and new capabilities in its compact and quiet design that can live right on a desk. Mac Studio can tackle the most intense workloads with its powerful CPU, Apple’s advanced graphics architecture, higher unified memory capacity, ultrafast SSD storage, and a faster and more efficient Neural Engine. It provides a big boost in performance compared to the previous generation, and a massive leap for users coming from older Macs.

Mac Studio is a powerhouse for AI, capable of running large language models (LLMs) with over 600 billion parameters entirely in memory, thanks to its advanced GPU and up to 512GB of unified memory with M3 Ultra — the most ever in a personal computer. It’s also built for Apple Intelligence, the personal intelligence system that transforms how users work, communicate, and express themselves, while protecting their privacy. The new Mac Studio is available to pre-order today, with availability beginning March 12.

“The new Mac Studio is the most powerful Mac we’ve ever made,” said John Ternus, Apple’s senior vice president of Hardware Engineering. “A complete game-changer for pros around the world – powering both home and pro studios – Mac Studio sits in a class of its own, offering a staggering amount of performance in a compact, quiet design that fits beautifully on your desk. With this new Mac Studio, we’re delivering even more extreme performance with M4 Max and M3 Ultra, support for half a terabyte of unified memory, up to 16TB of superfast storage, and Thunderbolt 5 connectivity. Mac Studio truly is the ultimate pro desktop.”

Mac Studio with M4 Max: A Performance Juggernaut

Mac Studio with M4 Max is up to 3.5x faster than Mac Studio with M1 Max, and is up to 6.1x faster than the most powerful Intel-based 27-inch iMac.1

Whether users are rendering 3D animations or editing multicamera projects, Mac Studio rips through complex workflows.

The GPU in M4 Max also brings Apple’s advanced graphics architecture to Mac Studio for the first time, including dynamic caching, hardware-accelerated mesh shading, and a second-generation ray-tracing engine for more seamless content creation and gaming. Mac Studio with M4 Max starts at 36GB of unified memory, with support for up to 128GB, so users can do everything from sorting through thousands of images with speed and precision, to producing complex compositions with hundreds of tracks, plug-ins, and virtual instruments, all played in real time. And with the powerful Media Engine in M4 Max, which features two ProRes accelerators, Mac Studio performance is outstanding for videographers who can effortlessly work with multiple streams of 4K ProRes.

Mac Studio with M4 Max enables:1

When using Private Cloud Compute, users’ data is never stored or shared with Apple; it is used only to fulfill their request.

macOS Sequoia: An Unrivaled Experience

macOS Sequoia completes the new Mac Studio experience with a host of exciting features, including iPhone Mirroring, which allows users to wirelessly interact with their iPhone, its apps, and notifications directly from their Mac.3 Pros can now move files, photos, and videos between iPhone and Mac as easily as they can drag and drop between apps on Mac. Easier window tiling means users can stay organized with a window layout that works best for them. The all-new Passwords app gives convenient access to passwords, passkeys, and other credentials, all stored in one place. And users can apply beautiful built-in backgrounds for video calls, which include a variety of color gradients and system wallpapers, or upload their own photos. Safari, the world’s fastest browser,4 now surfaces relevant information on sites in Highlights; summarizes articles in the redesigned Reader; keeps videos front and center in a new Video Viewer; and lets users hide distracting items with Distraction Control. Gaming gets even more immersive with features like Personalized Spatial Audio and improvements to Game Mode, along with a breadth of exciting titles, including Cyberpunk 2077: Ultimate Edition by CD PROJEKT RED, Assassin’s Creed Shadows, and more.

Next month, macOS Sequoia 15.4 will make it easier than ever to set up the new Mac Studio with iPhone.5 By simply bringing iPhone close to Mac, users can quickly and conveniently sign in to their Apple Account to get their files, photos, messages, passwords, and more on their new Mac Studio.

The Ultimate Studio Setup

Mac Studio, together with Studio Display, empowers creative users to build the studio of their dreams. Studio Display perfectly pairs with Mac Studio with its expansive 27-inch 5K Retina display, 12MP Center Stage camera, studio-quality three-mic array, and six-speaker sound system with Spatial Audio. For users working on HDR workflows, Pro Display XDR offers a 32-inch Retina 6K display with up to 1600 nits of peak HDR brightness. Customers can also add matching Magic accessories — including Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, Magic Trackpad, and Magic Mouse — that beautifully complement the elegant design of Mac Studio and Studio Display.

Better for the Environment

The new Mac Studio is designed with the environment in mind. As part of Apple 2030, the company’s ambitious goal to be carbon neutral across its entire carbon footprint by the end of this decade, Apple is transitioning to renewable electricity for its manufacturing, and investing in wind and solar projects around the world to address the electricity used to power all Apple products, including Mac Studio. Today, all Apple facilities run on 100 percent renewable electricity – including the data centers that power Apple Intelligence.

To achieve Apple 2030, the company is designing products with more recycled and renewable materials, which further drives down the carbon footprint. Mac Studio features over 30 percent recycled content overall, including 100 percent recycled aluminum in the enclosure and 100 percent recycled rare earth elements in all magnets. Mac Studio uses far less energy and materials than desktops in its class, and is free of mercury, brominated flame retardants, and PVC. The packaging is entirely fiber-based, bringing Apple closer to its goal to remove plastic from all packaging by the end of 2025.6

Nikon releases the first full-frame Z lens specifically designed for video. Built to support solo video shooters and small crews, the NIKKOR Z 28-135mm f/4 PZ lens resolves high-definition 8k video footage straight from the camera, and it’s light enough to shoot handheld. Engineered to be exceptional, it’s a game changer for video makers using full-frame Nikon Z cameras like the Z9 and the Z8.

With servo zoom control and a gimbal/handheld friendly weight of just 1210 g (including tripod collar) this is a compact, well-balanced, and dependable go-to video lens for videographers and film makers who want to work with minimal kit. The video-specific optical design resolves high-definition 8K video footage that allows plenty of flexibility to crop in post and output in 4K. Nikon’s high-performance glass and optical coatings ensure users can achieve remarkably clear footage at any distance—even if shooting under strong sunlight or studio lighting.

A yellow ring signifies this power zoom is a Z mount video lens and it is compatible with a wide range of professional video accessories, including matte boxes and follow focus systems. Key functions for video shooters include ease-in/ease-out (which negates the need for an external motorised zoom unit), and there are 11 different levels of zoom speed that can be assigned to the zoom lever on the lens. Position record and recall lets users re-frame shots between takes, linear manual focusing allows for accurate, repeatable results, and the direction of the focus and zoom rings can be reversed. The lens is also sealed against dust and moisture, and it can be controlled remotely too.

Dirk Jasper, Product Manager, Nikon Europe says: “We’re committed to making the Z system a go-to solution for content creators of all levels, and Nikon’s first pro video lens for Z mount cameras is an exciting step forward. You can rely on this video lens to deliver stunning results, which makes it a valuable tool in situations where time, budget, or circumstance mean reshoots aren’t an option.”

Nikon is pleased to announce the release of four types of Creative LUTs and one type of Technical LUT, created with RED.

All available free of charge, these LUTs can be utilised for colour grading video footage shot in N-Log with Nikon mirrorless cameras.1 What’s more, you can also load them onto external monitors to preview a close-to finished look while shooting on location.

Boasting an array of innovative features, the Achromic LUT adds a low contrast monochrome effect to user’s footage while preserving texture details – creating a soft, refined look with a classic feel. Additionally, the Film Bias LUT produces a warm, film-like aesthetic to N-Log footage, with balanced colours and natural skin tones. This creates a subtle contrast that gives footage a sophisticated edge.

Meanwhile, the Film Bias Bleach Bypass LUT boasts a high-contrast, desaturated look inspired by the bleach bypass film technique – providing footage with a harsh, faded feel. Finally, the Film Bias Offset LUT offers a film-like warmth and softness by applying a unique combination of colour correction and contrast adjustment – elevating user’s content.

The Creative LUTs have all been created under the close supervision of RED Digital Cinema, Inc., a subsidiary of Nikon that is renowned for excellence in its manufacturing of professional digital cinema cameras. The line-up consists of ACHROMIC, FILM BIAS, FILM BIAS BLEACH BYPASS, and FILM BIAS OFFSET. These LUTs enable users to apply the essence of RED’s color science to Nikon mirrorless camera video workflows, making it possible to achieve a look comparable to video shot on RED cinema cameras when working with N-Log footage.

Julian Harvie, Marketing Director at Nikon Northern Europe says: “It’s great to be back at The Photography and Video Show again this year. Since the last show in September 2022, we’ve launched a wealth of industry-leading products across our range of Z Series cameras and lenses, and we can’t wait to introduce them to photographers and videographers alike. And with an exceptional line of speakers across our Nikon Family and Nikon School team, we’re certain that visitors will be impressed with what Nikon has to offer. We look forward to both inspiring and in turn being inspired by the community at the show this year.”
