This year Hahnemühle are sponsoring the Photo Studio Stage to bring a wealth of digital fine art print experience to the show with an impressive line-up of talks and live demonstrations with leading photographers in a range of genres and subjects.

“We are delighted to welcome award-winning wedding photographer, Satnam Dosajhon the Photo Studio Stage on Saturday 16^th March for an educational and engaging workshop on Soft Proofing your Black and White images for Print. We also welcome Gabrielle Motola on Sunday 17^th March on the Bringing Portraits to Life in Print. Gabrielle will explore the profound impact of print in a world where screens now dominate, delving into the art of paper selection. Italian travel and landscape photographer Francesco Gola joins us on Monday 18^th March. Photographers will give insight within their print talks on their use of the Canon imagePROGRAF PRO-300, which they will have on stage for live demonstration purposes.

Alan Bell joins the stage on Tuesday 19^th for his talk Opportunities for Photography students: Photo London Hahnemühle student award. As a shortlisted artist in the inaugural Photo London Hahnemühle Student Award, Alan will explain how the opportunity has impacted on his photography practice and which Hahnemühle papers presents his images in their best form for his creative vision.

The Photography Show visitors will witness for the first time Hahnemühle´s innovative latest launches to the Digital Fine Art Collection: Photo Rag® Matt Baryta and Bamboo Gloss Baryta in the plant-fibre based Natural Line paper portfolio. Whilst in the Photo Paper range, Sustainable Photo Satin and Photo Silk Baryta X are the attention grabber for photographers and print studios looking for sustainable and high performance FineArt inkjet papers.

Visitors to the Hahnemühle stand will also have an opportunity to see, touch and sense the same image on eight different Hahnemühle papers including the four new grades. A question that is often asked by those who are new to the possibilities of digital fine art print.

HaMuNa® Care, a disposable mouth and nose cover can be used anywhere, e.g. on public transport, in supermarkets, waiting rooms and public buildings. Hahnemühle offers various filter media for personal and home-made protection masks for covering the mouth and nose. The filters are made from high-purity cellulose or synthetic fibres to filter coarse particles from air. Depending on the density of the material, they reduce the permeability of coarse dust and liquid droplets in different degrees. The competition, titled ‘Show us your series’, was launched on 1 March and is aimed at creative young talents. All students who are enrolled at a university or a photography school and specialise in photography were eligible to take part.

More than 700 students from 52 countries took up the challenge and created impressive series in a range of styles, which were evaluated in the preliminary round by an internationally renowned jury. Fifty finalists have been chosen from all the series submitted online.

The competition has now reached the second and final round!
In this final round, which takes place in November, the series by the 50 finalists will be printed on Hahnemühle paper and evaluated by the jury. All finalist get their paper of choice from Hahnemühle´s paper portfolio. The jury assesses not only the creativity of the series, but also looks at photographic quality and how suitable the choice of paper is for the subject matter.

The winners will receive attractive cash prizes: the top three finalists will receive a cash prize of EUR 1,500 for first place, EUR 1,000 for second place and EUR 500 for third place. The winning photo series will be displayed at the Hahnemühle stand at photokina 2020 (including PR support).
