Yesterday we held our Qualifications Assessment Day, and we’re thrilled to share that four panels were awarded photographic qualifications. A huge achievement that reflects months (and sometimes years!) of dedication, skill, and creativity.

This is your opportunity to earn one of our prestigious accreditations – Licentiate, Associateship or Fellowship – and elevate your professional standing in your photographic genre.

Event Details

Venue: The Society of Photographers Head Office, Rhyl, North Wales
Date: Tuesday 23rd September 2025
Time: Pre-booked time slots available (attendees must arrive at least 30 minutes early)

All attendees are welcome to observe the judging process, and members may also be present for the judging of their own panel if desired.

Submission Guidelines

• Format: Mounted printed images, 20×16” including mount
• Number of Images: 20 (must be of a single genre)
• Digital Copies: JPGs (4,000px on longest side)
• Deadline: Images must be received at Head Office by 15th September 2025
• Fee: £195 (includes VAT)
• Multiple Submissions: Allowed in alternative disciplines

About the Judging Process

You’ll be asked to hang your panel 15 minutes before your slot. Judges will then assess your images, with access to a daylight viewing box if needed. Panels are discussed in detail and decisions made following careful deliberation.

All Society members are welcome to attend the judging day free of charge.

Rules & Terms (Summary)

• All work must be original and solely created by the entrant
• No watermarks, identifying marks or third-party content
• Images must have been taken within the last 36 months (some exceptions for composites)
• No images created under instruction or as a class project
• Full submission guidelines and rules apply
• No refunds – all submissions are final
