Valentina Rebeschini, founder of Photography by Valentina, has been recognised as one of the UK’s top 100 female entrepreneurs in the prestigious f:Entrepreneur #IAlso100 campaign. The award, organised by Small Business Britain, celebrates female business owners making an impact in their industries while balancing multiple roles in their professional and personal lives.

For Valentina, this recognition is a deeply meaningful milestone. Originally from Italy, she moved to the UK in 2007 with no contacts or connections and built her business from the ground up. Since founding Photography by Valentina in 2010, she has helped families preserve their most precious moments and has been a strong advocate for empowering women through photography.

“This honour validates the passion and dedication I pour into my work every day,” says Valentina. “It’s a reminder that photography is more than just an art form—it’s a way to support, inspire, and connect with people on a deeper level.”

A Journey of Passion, Resilience, and Empowerment

From the beginning, Valentina faced the challenges of running a business while balancing motherhood and personal growth. Through word-of-mouth referrals, community collaborations, and ongoing professional development—often attending industry events such as The Society of Photographers’ Convention—she has grown Photography by Valentina into a trusted name in newborn and family photography.

Beyond her own work, Valentina is dedicated to mentoring new photographers entering the industry. “When I started, there were very few educational resources available, so I had to learn through experience,” she explains. “Now, I want to help others by sharing my knowledge and encouraging them to develop their own unique style.”

Championing Female Entrepreneurship in Photography

With women still underrepresented in entrepreneurship—making up only 33% of business owners globally—Valentina is passionate about supporting female-led businesses.

“Female entrepreneurship is vital, particularly in photography, where storytelling and emotional connection are so important,” she says. “It’s encouraging to see more women in the newborn and family photography sector, but we need to continue breaking barriers. The #IAlso100 campaign is an important step towards increasing female representation in business.”

Exciting New Projects on the Horizon

Looking ahead, Valentina has several exciting projects in the works. She is preparing to publish a book based on her Breastfeeding Awareness Project, featuring heartfelt stories and images of mothers. She also hopes to host an exhibition in the future to bring more attention to the project.

In addition, she plans to expand her Empowering Women Portrait Sessions, which focus on helping women over 40 reconnect with their beauty, strength, and confidence. “I truly believe photography has the power to uplift and inspire,” she says. “I’m excited to continue using it as a tool for empowerment and storytelling.”
